Tara Roth, president of the Goldhirsh Foundation, has been named one of the 500 Most Influential People - and one of the 20 Most Influential Civic Leaders – in Los Angeles.

The honor comes from the Los Angeles Business Journal, which last year named the Goldhirsh Foundation’s LA2050 initiative as the area’s Nonprofit of the Year (Growing).

Other civic leaders named to the Most Influential list include Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, LA County chief executive Fesia Davenport, entrepreneur Earvin “Magic” Johnson, and the top officials from the region’s unions, business alliances, ports, and utilities.

Philanthropic leaders on the Most Influential list include William Ahmanson, Wallis Annenberg, Nicolas Berggruen, Edythe Broad, Connie Loyola, Vera Guerin, Peter Laugharn, Lowell Milken, Michael Milken, Gerun Riley, Miguel Santana, Richard Tate, and Renata Simril.
