New Video Highlights Our AI-Related Work

AI, especially as related to ethics and community impact, is a topic the Goldhirsh Foundation and our LA2050 initiative have been tracking since 2019.
LA2050 surveyed hundreds of nonprofit organizations and social enterprises about AI. Less than half had plans in place to use AI. Less than half thought the communities they serve would benefit from AI. They said they wanted to help, but didn’t know how….
In our latest video — posted here, and featuring our president, Tara Roth — we share some of the ways we’ve since worked to be of service to our grantees and the greater community. These include:
*Naming an AI executive in residence more than a year ago, to provide free-of-charge group and one-on-one consulting to our grantees and other organizations in the impact community.
*Convening a discussion about AI with movement shapers and funders in Los Angeles.
*Producing the free-of-charge, interactive seminar for our grantees and the greater impact community, Hands-On AI Training for Nonprofits, at LA Más in Los Angeles.
*Producing the free-of-charge, interactive workshop for our grantees and the greater impact community, Artificial Intelligence for Social Good, at Second Home Hollywood.
*Producing three Los Angeles Tech Week panels entirely or partially about using AI for good.
*Posting to our blog and social platforms insights and advice from our president and our AI executive in residence.
