In 2016, the Goldhirsh Foundation’s LA2050 initiative launched Party at the Polls with a simple idea: what if participating in our democracy felt more like a celebration and a little less like a chore?

Now, a decade later, LA2050 is bringing the program back for the 2026 General Election and inviting organizations across Los Angeles County to put their own spin on what a “party at the polls” can look like for the 2026 General Election.

LA2050 is offering $5,000 mini-grants to support creative, community-rooted, nonpartisan civic engagement activities taking place between October 6th and November 3rd, 2026. For more information, including about how to apply for a mini-grant,
